Terms & Conditions

1. These "Terms and Conditions" govern the supply of goods sold by Ruler Co Ltd, Brockley Combe, Backwell, Bristol BS48 3DF to all customers placing orders  by whatever method including via our web site, by telephone, by fax, or email. These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire and only agreement between us in relation thereto. Our acceptance of your order constitutes a legally binding contract between us on these terms and conditions.

2. Prices, Delivery Charges & Payment
Unless stated the price payable for goods includes delivery by post or courier. The total amount payable is confirmed during the order process and confirmed by email (subject to providing a valid email address)  Unless by prior arrangement Ruler Co Ltd must receive payment for the order, before your order can be despatched.

3. Delivery & Title
We will deliver them in accordance with your order. On delivery of your order title in the goods will pass to you. On delivery to the address stated on your order. Ruler Co Ltd, cannot be held responsible for loss, theft or damage to the delivered goods. In the unlikely event that you have not received all goods within 14 days of the date of delivery, you must notify us immediately. The customer is responsible for notifying us of any damages or shortages within 7 days of delivery.

4. Availability of Stock
While we plan to hold sufficient stock of standard items to meet all orders, we may occasionally be unable to supply either some or all the goods ordered.  In this event, we may, at our discretion, refund you the price paid for such goods as soon as possible and in any case within 14 days.

5. Cancellation, Returns and Refunds
You may cancel your order at any time prior to despatch except in the case of customised, printed or 'special order' items where the costs incurred will be chargeable. Notice may be given by mail, fax or email to the number / address on the web site. If you wish to return goods which are not faulty you will be responsible for the carriage charges, we would prefer to use one of our appointed carriers so please contact us and we will make arrangements for collection. If you are returned goods because they are faulty, or not as ordered, we will meet the cost of return and will make arrangements for collection.
Refunds will be made within 14 days of the date the returned goods are received.

6. Liability
If you have advised us of a problem,  we will either make good any shortage or non-delivery; replace any goods that are damaged or defective; or refund the amount paid by you for the goods in question. We will not be liable for any loss of profits, inconvenience, indirect or consequential loss or damage arising out of any problem and we shall have no liability to pay compensation other than any refund. This does not affect your statutory consumer rights.

7. Force Majeure
We shall not be held responsible for any failure or delay in supply or delivery or for any damage or defect to goods caused by any event or circumstance beyond our reasonable control.

8. General
If any part of these conditions is invalid, illegal or unenforceable (including any provision in which we exclude our liability to you) the validity, legality or enforceability of any other part of these conditions will not be affected. This contract shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with English law.

9. VAT
All prices include VAT at the current rate.

10. Complaints
Our policy is to respond to any and all complaints within 48 hours, but usually we respond on the same day. In the case of a complaint please provide as much information as possible including contact details.

11 Distance Selling Regulations 2000
Ruler Co Ltd adheres to the Distance Selling Regulations 2000, which state that from the time the order is placed up until seven working days from the "day after" the day the goods are received, the consumer has the right to cancel the order. A refund of all monies including delivery charges will be made by us within 30 days of cancellation. In the case of non standard items (custom, printed or special orders)  a charge to cover our costs will be payable.

Returned goods must be in their original condition - the costs of returning the goods we be the responsibility of the customer. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

12 Privacy Policy
Information about our customers collected via our web site remains confidential and is not provided to any third party.  We may advise you by mail / email of 'special or seasonal offers' but you will be given the opportunity to be excluded from this mailing list. All information (order details, credit cards) are obtained using an encrypted secure web server, this service is managed by a leading UK based online payment specialist, which works in partnership with many well known online retailers.
